At Pressure Coolers, we like to keep on trend with what is happening in the world of water. That’s why when we read about this new study, we were eager to share it with our readers. The topic of the day: Is it really necessary to drink 8 glasses of water a day?
Here’s What We Found Out
A new study that took place in Australia has now proven that it is unnecessary to drink eight glasses of water a day and there is no scientific evidence to prove this theory.
Many people believe that this theory was created in 1945 by the Food and Nutrition Board which stated “People need to drink 2.5 litres of water a day (8 glasses of water)” but failed to mention that most of this quantity is contained in prepared food.
Media in this day and age like to exaggerate how much water humans need to survive and often don’t point out key elements to theories. There is no formal recommendation for a daily amount of water that people need. This amount will differ from person to person, depending on what you eat and how much exercise you do. However, please do remember that drinking water is a vital part of our day and helps to restore cells and keep vital organs functioning in the body!
Luckily, Pressure Coolers has you covered when it comes to drinking water throughout the day. We stock a range of innovative office water coolers, fountains and bottle filling stations. Perfect for all sectors of business.
